CommCan is more than just a cannabis company; we are a family, a community, and a movement. Founded in 2015 by siblings Ellen, Jon, and Marc Rosenfeld, we stand as a pioneering force in the Massachusetts cannabis landscape.

As the state’s first certified woman and largest LGBTQ owned cannabis business, our roots run deep. Our mission goes beyond providing high-quality, innovative products. We are committed to maintaining our independence, fostering inclusivity, and nurturing deep-rooted community ties.

CommCan is deeply committed to eco-friendly cannabis cultivation. By using solar panels, we offset power usage, and our own well water ensures a sustainable cultivation process. Coupled with energy-efficient techniques and waste reduction, we proudly minimize our environmental footprint as a responsible local cannabis provider.

CommCan Timeline

2015

CommCan is founded by Ellen, Marc and Jon Rosenfeld. The entrepreneurial team of siblings with a lifetime of experience in the real estate and development space decided to continue establishing their roots in the Millis and Medway area in a new venture, the legal cannabis market.

DECEMBER 2017

The first seeds were planted in Medway.

JULY 2018

CommCan opens their first medical dispensary in Southboro on July 24, 2018. The first medical sale at the facility was a DRiP distillate cartridge. The opening in Southborough confirmed CommCan as the first woman owned LGBTQ+ owned dispensary in Massachusetts.

NOVEMBER 2019

On November 6th, 2019 CommCan opened their first adult use dispensary to the public in Millis. Just thirteen days later, the CCC granted CommCan the license to become a co-located adult use and medical dispensary, the company’s second medical license and first co-located store.

FEBRUARY 2020

CommCan launches SIP Lemon Soda, the first cannabis-infused beverage available for recreational customers on the East Coast. SIP quickly becomes the #1 infused soda in Massachusetts.

JUNE 2020

Cookies partners with CommCan to grow Cookies genetics on the East Coast.

MAY 2021

Cookies flower officially launches at CommCan on Cinco de Mayo, 2021. This marks the official release of Cookies genetics on the East Coast.

NOVEMBER 2021

On November 6th, 2021 CommCan opened their second recreational dispensary to the public in Rehoboth, MA.
